Orthotics
What is Orthotics?
Orthotics are custom shoe insoles designed specifically to best
suit your foot type. Orthotics act to primarily improve the
biomechanics (posture) of the ankle and feet. These corrections can
help with pain and discomfort you may feel in the feet, knee, hip
and low back. Orthotic insoles are prescribed to improve a variety
of conditions including heel pain, knee pain, leg length
discrepancies, low back pain and even for many forms of arthritis
and diabetes. Custom orthotics can also act to prevent many
problems of the feet and maintain or improve the alignment of your
joints. Orthotics can play an important role in your wellness goals
so be sure to ask your physiotherapist or chiropractor if orthotics
are right for you.
Orthotics are used to treat:
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Low back, knee and hip pain
- Arthritis
- Sports injuries
